In exercise of the power conferred on it under Section 96 (I) of the Electric Power Sector Reform Act 2005, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby notifies the public of the enactment of the following Regulations;
NIGERIAN ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION REPORTING COMPLIANCE REGULATIONS 2009 The Nigerian Elctricty Regulatory Commission Compliance Regulations 2009 specifies the reports that are to be submitted to the Commission by licensees, and the time frame within which to submit the reports.This regulation outlines the general reports required of all licensees, the specific reports required of the various types of licensees, and the formats of the reports required of licensees. Henceforth, all Licensees are to submit the reports in the form prescribed, and within the timeframes stipulated in the Regulation. NIGERIAN ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION APPLICATION FOR LICENCES (GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, SYSTEM OPERATIONS, DISTRIBUTION & TRADING) REGULATIONS 2010
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission Application for Licences (Generation, Transmission, System Operations, Distribution & Trading) Regulations 2010 reviews the manner and form of applications for licences; the procedure for applying for licences; the procedure for amending, renewing, and extending the tenure of a licence; the procedure for suspending and cancelling a licence; the required information and documents for the various types of applications (including solar, wind, etc); and the required contents of a business plan. Henceforth, all applications shall be in line with the provisions of this Regulation.

LICENSING AND OPERATING FEES REGULATIONS 2010
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission Licensing and Operating Fees Regulations 2010 reviews certain provisions, and the prescribed fees applicable to all licences. Henceforth, all payments for applications and licences shall be as prescribed in this Regulation, as well as the payment of operating levies.
